Ever since I got pricked by a sea urchin and lost a vacation day recovering, I never ever swim in tropical waters without shoes on my feet, and these are great. I ordered them years ago and they've accompanied me to many beaches around the world since then. I can comfortably walk in them when my hotel is a bit of a distance from the beach, and they feel like normal sneakers. They're easy to clean sand out of, though sometimes on rocky beaches they collect small pebbles that take a bit more effort to dislodge from the soles. They are showing their age, so it's clear they won't last forever, and if I went to the beach more often I guess they would've had to be replaced by now. So I'd say if you're a frequent beach-goer, count on getting a new pair every 1-2 years, but you'll have a good experience with them in the meantime. If you're just an occasional beach-goer like me, they may last you a lifetime.Some reviews say to size down by a half size and others say it the shoe sizes are true-to-fit, what I recommend is taking a measurement (in centimeters) of your foot and determining your size that way for a true-to-fit size because I ended up buying a half size smaller than what I wear in Nike running shoes and they fit perfectly!One thing that is not quite perfect is the listing for the color "Moonlight" it appears as a pastel blue but it is a pastel minty green: another thing some reviews mention but I like this color so it works out for me but this is an fyi for anyone who actually wants that pastel blue! The more accurate color can be seen on my foot in the first few pictures (mind the hairy leg)I really like these shoes! It’s the 3rd time I ordered these. The first pair was for a trip to Jamaica, the second was a different color for a trip to the Bahamas, the third was because my puppy ate a pair. ? Super comfortable, stay on well in the water and while walking and they dry fast but don’t rub your feet!These are great shoes for walking on the beach. I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes provided the necessary support to keep my foot feeling great! I would recommend wearing a light sock with them so keep them from rubbing the tops of your toes!Just used the quick dry water shoes today, 8 1/2 shoes are a bit smaller then my regular size 8 1/2 shoes. Worked great in aqua fit class. LOVE that I can tighten the shoe with laces. My old water shoes would stretch out because of the chlorine in pool. Hope these shoes will last longer than a couple of months!!! Swim 5 days a week.I needed a pair of water shoes quickly for a weekend at a waterpark. These came quickly, priced well, and were way better than I had expected. They look cute on and even walking all around a water park, my feet were comfortable. The only downside was they didn’t have quite as much airflow for my feet by the end of the day, but I don’t think a shoe like this could do much better than this one did. I would definitely buy them again. In fact, I plan to buy a pair for my daughter.I have severe joint disease and do water aerobics 3x a week to help keep me “lose”. For awhile I was having horrible Achilles’ tendon pain from gripping the pool bottom with my toes.These shoes are wonderful! My class takes place in 4.5’ of water and I’m 5’9”. The shape and sole pattern help me grip the bottom of the pool with no stretching or tightening of my Achilles’ tendon, the are not heavy but do add a nice resistance to the leg workout, and they air dry in just a few hours.The laces are a bit long when tightened, but it’s very quick and easy to weave the loose ends under the laced area where they stay snug.I tried other cheaper ones and the only lasted through a couple of classes.I used these for aqua aerobics 5 days a week and they never fail to work great!Well worth the money.Very true to size. If you get them and they seem too loose, you can always wear half socks socks with them to fit better.Remember that they will be a little looser when you get in the water.Great for anything to do do with water, even hiking & you go through creeks or streams.Love these quick drying shoes.
